Download AA: Audit PBC (Prepared by Client) Tracker (.xlsx)

What it does

Keeps every audit request in one list with its area, owner, due date and priority, works out days open and days overdue, follows auditor queries to closure and summarises progress by audit area and by owner for the weekly status call.

Who it is for

Controllers and finance teams preparing for statutory, internal or lender audits, and audit seniors.

How to use it

  1. Go to 'Settings'. Type the company, the year, the audit firm and the 'status as at' date (type today's date, or =TODAY() if you prefer it to change by itself).
  2. Go to 'Requests'. Paste or type the auditor's list: one line per item with area, description, owner, date requested, due date and priority.
  3. When you hand an item over, type the date provided. When the auditor replies, pick their status. If they raise a query, type it and the date it was closed.
  4. Read the 'Status' and 'Days overdue' columns. Filter on 'Overdue' and 'Query open' before each status call.
  5. Go to 'Summary' for progress by area and by owner, and the Checks box.
