Download F: Toll Revenue and Traffic MIS (.xlsx)
What it does
Toll plaza MIS by plaza and vehicle class: ADT, paying traffic, expected vs actual collection, budget variance, year-on-year growth, and a 12-month trend with a chart.
Who it is for
Finance and operations teams of toll road SPVs and InvITs.
How to use it
- Go to 'Tariff'. Type your plaza names and the single-journey toll rate for each vehicle class at each plaza (sample rates are made up).
- Go to 'Monthly Data'. Each row is one month + plaza + vehicle class. Type the month (first day of the month), plaza, vehicle class, total vehicles crossed, exempt vehicles, actual toll revenue collected, budgeted revenue and last year's vehicle count for the same month. Replace the sample rows with your own.
- The grey-black columns fill in automatically: paying vehicles, ADT, tariff, expected revenue, collection gap and growth.
- Go to 'Dashboard'. In the yellow cells pick a month and a plaza (or 'All'). The class-wise table and the 12-month trend update by themselves.
- Look at 'Collection gap %'. A gap bigger than usual is a prompt to look at discounts, passes, exemptions and possible leakage. Use the checks at the bottom of the Dashboard.
