Download T: AP Ageing with MSME 45-Day Tracker (.xlsx)

What it does

Ages unpaid supplier invoices and, for micro and small suppliers, works out the section 15 due date (the agreed period, at most 45 days, or 15 days if nothing is agreed). Flags overdue MSME dues, estimates section 16 interest, and marks dues that may be disallowed if unpaid at the year end.

Who it is for

AP teams, controllers and tax teams preparing the MSME disclosure.

How to use it

  1. Go to 'Settings'. Type the 'as at' date, the financial year end and the current RBI Bank Rate (the sample rate is not current).
  2. Go to 'Invoices'. Paste unpaid and part-paid invoices: vendor, MSME category (from the vendor's Udyam certificate), the agreed credit days in the written agreement (leave blank if none), invoice number, invoice date, date of acceptance of the goods or services (leave blank to use the invoice date), invoice amount and amount paid so far.
  3. Read the 'MSME status' and 'Estimated interest' columns. Pay the overdue MSME items first.
  4. Go to 'Summary' for the ageing table, the MSME overdue total and the Checks box. Use it for the MSME disclosure in the notes to accounts.
  5. Keep a copy at each month end and at the year end as evidence.
